"I began this painting with a
beautiful white flower in front of me. As I painted I
forgot about the flower and began to concentrate on the
layers of subtle washes of color on the image. The original
flower disappeared within the colors and became this unique,
one-of-a-kind flower without a name."

sections on the canvas.)
